Hey everyone!
The future of the Internet is about to be displayed on your TV. Both Apple and Google have their own plans to make this possible. Last night, I reviewed both Google TV and Apple TV and all I can say is WOW… this is exciting for us Internet marketers to be publicly displayed on TV is mind blowing… Just image your own brand on someone’s TV… This is the reason why you need to start learning about video marketing for your business.

The difference between the two is something that needs to be understood as they both have different intentions. Apple’s main objective is to sell content from iTunes, Google is planning to display on ads on the content. Which one do you think will have more success?
With Google TV, you will be able to freely browse the internet and watch videos, as ads will be displayed. As for Apple TV, you’ll have to pay for the content. But you won’t see any ads. Honestly, I can see how Google will win this competitive fight, as for most people right now would not want to pay for content online.
Apple TV definitely has some flaws to point out, for insistence ATV doesn’t support curtain formats like DivX, XviD or WMV files. There are limitations to the way you browse the internet. Only iTunes Store, Netflix, YouTube, Flickr, and MobileMe are available on ATV.
Another difference between them both is the price for the hardware. Getting Google TV requires a digital media receiver made by Logitech that is priced at $299 and for Apple TV its retailing at $99. But I don’t believe Apple can withstand the advantages that Google has to offer.
