When it comes to any type of Pay Per Click many people would say it’s a waste of time, others would say its worth the investment. I believe that PPC is most effective if you’re maximizing your conversion and ROI (return on investment). It has become one of the best sources of traffic for my business after making many mistakes and losing lots of money.
Most people that try PPC end up losing their money and give up on this powerful medium. One of many mistakes is not understanding your targeted keywords or the right target audience. One small misconception with a keyword phase can literally cost you $100 in 30 minutes.
This happened to me when I was trying to target clients that wanted to learn Internet Marketing for their business. Everything was looking good until I started the campaign. I noticed how fast I lost $100 within a half-an-hour and was only receiving a small portion of leads. I checked the keyword list I discovered keywords that shouldn’t be on the list, for example “Internet marketing jobs” do you see something wrong? This keyword is targeting those that are seeking for a job in the field that they’ve learned. Be careful of little minor mistakes, and periodically check your conversion rates.
Another mistake that I would like to mention is the content on each of your ads. Its so important to have a captivating title and body text in the ads you create. I have lost 30% of my profits because of this!
A good ad example:
Need Real Estate Leads?
“Discover for free how a 20 year Internet marketer
generates 54+ leads online”
That’s an example of on of the ads I used for facebook PPC
Notice how I said for free? People are motivated by promises of free stuff, again you need to understand your target market. Promises like this can only go so far depending how your target market reacts. PPC can be an inexpensive way to get traffic but as stated before, it can easily get out of hand. Make sure you budget yourself and never feel tempted to spend more then you can afford. Hope this helps see you at the top!
